Cantonese Opera Gems@North District Town Hall [ Programme cancelled ]

Introduction

Cantonese opera films not only preserve the essence and glorious performances by opera maestros, but also present Cantonese operas under a new light through cinematic techniques. The Archive presented a series of Cantonese opera films in September and October to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Inscription of Cantonese Opera onto Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Thanks to the tremendously enthusiastic response from audience, 12 Cantonese opera gems will be screened again at the North District Town Hall for a bigger audience to enjoy these timeless classics.
