The third instalment of the ‘Muk Lan-fa' series by Hong Kong Film Co. was directed by Law Chi who passed away in early 2018. The then-popular heroine Wong Ang was given a ‘Jane Bond' treatment and became the Dark Heroine Muk Lan-fa while the screen duos changed from Yu So-chow and Tso Tat-wah to Suet Nei and Kenneth Tsang Kong. The fashionable Suet as Muk Lan-fa paired up with the dashing Tsang as police officer to destroy the criminal gang's treasure-hunting scheme, and fought with Judo master Feng Yi. Director Law kept the action moving at a crisp pace with precise storyboarding and, for extra pizzazz, invited the marine police to take part in a battle scene on sea.
