Cinderella and Her Little Angels

Cinderella and Her Little Angels can be described as an exceptional crossover between film and fashion in Hong Kong cinema. Young tailor Lin Fu (Peter Chen Ho) is secretly in love with Danning (Linda Lin Dai), a girl from the local orphanage. One day, by order of his boss, Fu plucks up the courage and asks Danning to model in the shop’s upcoming fashion show. The proposal sounds completely outrageous to the conservative orphanage director but Danning has her mind set on strutting down the runway to raise funds for the orphanage. At the invitation of MP & GI, Johnson Tailors—a renowned shop of the time—designed and custom-made every outfit featured on the catwalk. Born to be a model, Linda Lin Dai looks just as adorable in a plain-coloured qipao or a chic Western dress, even when posing as a mannequin! As Lin showcases on screen the trendiest fashions from far and wide, the audience is not just treated to a feast for the eyes, but also taken on a fun trip around the world.
