Interview Excerpt: Reveal the Secret Behind Sound Effects

"A Chinese Ghost Story, God of Gamblers, Once Upon a Time in China, In the Mood for Love… Do these film titles immediately remind you of certain melodies? Although we usually say we "watch" a film in the cinema, but films are indeed as much heard as they are seen – even if we are not referring to dialogues. Romantic background music coupled with pounding heartbeats may fill a scene with sweetness that goes beyond any form of verbal communications. Welcome to the cinematic world of this exhibition that resorts to the auditory rather than the visual, and experience the magic of film scores and sound effects.

From June onwards, free public guided tours conducted in Cantonese will be offered every Sunday at 2pm and 4:30pm. Each tour will last for 45 minutes and can accommodate 30 persons. Visitors may queue up at the waiting area in the Foyer for admission on a first-come, first-served basis.
