Heralded as the "Classic Beauty" of Hong Kong's Mandarin cinema in the 1950s and 60s, actress Betty Loh Ti delivered a dazzling variety of performances in a memorable though short-lived career. Mirroring the development of various genres in Hong Kong cinema, her works spanned across different film companies, from Great Wall and Shaw Brothers to MP & GI (Cathay) and Golden Eagle. In commemoration of Loh's 80th birth anniversary this year, the Hong Kong Film Archive is hosting a mini-exhibition to present her transformation from a supporting actress into one of Hong Kong's most celebrated screen divas.
