Rediscovering MAK SIU-HA - A Talent of Multiple Trades

Mak Siu-ha (1904-1941) was actively acting, directing and scripting for films in the 1930s when cinema first began to screen sound films. His creative works shown obvious influence of Western culture. Between 1933 and 1940, he was involved in over 20 films' production. Tied in with the screening programme "Early Cinematic Treasures Rediscovered", the Film Archive is putting on a small-scale exhibition in tribute to this multi-talented Cantonese Opera composer, filmmaker and script-writer.
