Back in the day, knifeman Chau (Patrick Tse Yin), the glamorous Fung (Fung Bo-bo), and getaway driver Chung (Lam Suet) were a dream team of assassins. Years passed, the trio have grown old and become redundant both at work and home. Often neglected, they lead a dull and lonely life, until an unexpected commission reunites them as the 'Guardian Angels of the Elders'–contract killers who perform assisted suicide for old people. None of them would have guessed that they would receive a request from a runaway teenage girl one day. Amidst the dark humour, the film addresses the social problems of poverty and loneliness among the elderly. The heartwarming action-comedy also allows today's audiences to have a newfound appreciation for Hong Kong Cantonese cinema's screen legends, who return to the limelight for a refreshing collaboration with new talents.

Tomy Wai's original score features an energetic retro-styled theme song 'Embrace Youth', with lyrics contributed by producer Lam Ka-tung. Combining Western composition style and Cantonese lyrics, the song is reminiscent of the 1970s, when local Cantopop won people's hearts and skilled singers found an adoring audience at nightclubs and lounges. As a tribute to the flourishing music scene in the 1970s, the theme song is performed by veteran songstress 'Black Girl' Li Lai-ha, who launched her career at music lounges during that time. Wai's delightful tunes accentuate the comical charm of the film, especially when the guitar plays a whimsical melody while Tse lends his cut-throat skills to distressed elderly looking to die, lightening the mood for the otherwise heavy subject matter.
