Mysterious beauty ‘Madame Rose’ (Ho Lan) is the star of the nightclub world. The rich Sham Chung-kei (Ko Ming) is enamoured with her beauty, but Rose’s sister Lai-chu (Fong Sum) is in love with Chung-kei. Behind this love triangle lies a long-standing grudge that spans across generations.

Based on a novel by Yeung Chit, the film features a twisty story filled with suspense and mystery. The film also serves as a ‘final exam’ for the three Tao Yuen-trained young stars, and they definitely pass with flying colours. Dubbed ‘Little Law Yim-hing’, Ho Lan has a face that resembles the lovely Linda Lin Dai, as well as a quiet temperament, bright eyes and the looks of a star; young and beautiful. Fong Sum has a lively and natural performance style; last but not least, Ko Ming resembles the dashing Lui Kei, making him a convincing playboy.

To enhance the film's realism, Lung To rented the giant Dragon Villa to serve as Madame Rose’s home. He also filmed on location in Dragon Inn, Kai Tak Airport and Kung Tin Ballroom, making this a seriously major production. Also worth noting is that the film’s music was produced by veteran musicians Lau Wang-yuen, Joseph Koo and Hui Pui. When Tao Yuen’s new stars trained every day at work, Lau served as their teacher. Before making this film, Fong Sum performed in Singapore and Malaysia, and she also performed songs during the promotional tour of the film. Koo and Hui were the coaches who prepared those performances.
