This is the chilling story about a murder conspiracy that was a very long time in the making. Sima Sun (Law Kim-long), his wife Lok-ying (Law Yim-hing) and daughter Po-chu (Fung Bo-bo) live with Sun’s parents, but they can’t win over the two elders. When Sun’s father (Leung Sing-por) suggests Sun to take Mok-fong (Lee Hong-kum) as a second wife, he ends up inviting disaster into the family.

Bringing out Tao Yuen’s aim of producing films that educate, the film’s promotional slogan summed up its theme—‘depicting the harm of telling lies, exposing the consequences of marrying a second wife.’ Fung Bo-bo’s first film for Tao Yuen was shot when she was only the adorably innocent age of six. It was reported in the press that though Fung didn’t perform very well at the audition for Lung To, she confidently said, ‘it’s not like auditioning is the real film shoot.’ As she promised, Fung not only handled the film set valiantly, she even gave a delicate and meticulous performance which made her the standout actor of the entire cast. After the film had a hugely successful 160-show run, Fung became the top child star of Hong Kong.
