Characteristics of the Qipao Costume

Qipaos in the 1950s are especially body-hugging, revealing the curves of the figure. Printed flowers look as though they are pasted onto a shapely vase. At the time when the film was released, oversized flowers were in fashion, especially suited for flirtatious characters. Reaching her beauty peak, Li Lihua carries this powerful pattern arrangement with seemingly effortless elegance.
