Modern"Red Chamber Dream" (1952)
Luo Lan as Wang Xifeng

The capable, diplomatic and vicious granddaughter-in-law in the prestigious Jia family, dominating the household management.

In the film brochure of Modern "Red Chamber Dream" her costumes were described as ‘elegant and glamorous, a fashion statement from a wealthy, powerful wife’. To research the latest fashions, Costume Designer Wan Laiming once spent days lingering in restaurants and nightclubs in Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.

Hsia Moon also wore this qipao costume in Never Leave Me (1955).
