Characteristics of the Qipao Costume

Made in a burgundy-coloured shot satin, it has a full-length opening shifted to the front, featuring 20 pairs of knotted buttons. Both ends of the hand-embroidered border are shaped as Ruyi (a traditional Chinese auspicious symbol in cloud shape). Peking knot stitchery is used on the cutout applique motifs.
