Starring Hong Kong Cinema's heartthrob Leslie Cheung, alongside eye-candy actresses Loletta Lee and Ann Bridgewater, the coming-of-age romantic drama For Your Heart Only was unmistakably appealing to the young idols' star-struck fans.

Piggy (Leslie Cheung) is a deviously charming disc jockey. When he meets Jane (Loletta Lee), the beautiful girl next door, he tries every possible way to win her heart but gives it away once he's through, only to realise later that she's the only true love in his life. This bittersweet tale about first love and heartbreak is also a vibrant showcase of 80s pop culture. From hipsters' favourite Tokyu Department Store, the popular nightlife hotspot Apollo 18 Disco, to how art consultant Yee Chung-man dressed the teens in vivid colour outfits—the film is not only a love letter to the city's golden era, but also to the age of youth and innocence. Cheung's melodic love songs intertwine closely with the entire film, some of which are included in his eponymous album. Anita Mui made a surprise appearance in the titular ballad's MV, in which she is seen walking down the aisle in a wedding dress with Cheung—an ephemeral moment that would last for eternity.
