Story of the Sword and the Sabre, Part One

Weapons in wuxia films are often given a spotlight, just like the Dragon Slaying Sabre in this film adaptation of the well-known Jin Yong novel. "Who owns the sacred sabre runs the martial world", as this saying recurs in the story, everyone finds themselves battling over the blade. Cheung Ying and Pak Yin star as warrior lovers Cheung and Yan, but even the golden movie couple has lost their shine to Sek Kin – the King of Gold Lion who wields the heavy sword. Who has more powerful temperament to bring the beastlike character to life than Sek Kin does? His performance was so memorable that he was invited to reprise the role in the TV drama version years later.
