‘Jane Bond' films are unique movies unique to their time. A mix of innocence and worldliness, joyous music and violent action, modern trappings and traditional values, they represent our film industry's desperate attempt to catch up with changing tastes and the vibrant state of 1960s Hong Kong culture. Connie Chan Po-chu, beloved Jade Girl, is the quintessential ‘Jane Bond', her youthful exuberance and physical opera training combining to project the complex dynamics of rapid westernising and drastic urbanisation. The Female Chivalry, with the Jane character an adopted daughter, provides added depth to 1960s prosperity by highlighting the post-war generation's difficult past.

Please note that this version of the film is incomplete, with unintended cuts.
