The operatic skills of So Siu-tong and Law Yim-hing in martial roles are on display in this ageless tale of the female General Fan Lei-fa that generated numerous classic opera repertoires. General Fan Lei-fa (Law) captures and releases Sit Ting-shan (So Siu-tong) thrice. Fan argues with her father and brother because of  Sit's release and kills them by accident. Sit, however, reprimands her for the killing, and also mistakenly suspects Fan of having an affair with his adopted son Sit Ying-long (Connie Chan Po-chu )… The film is made more memorable with the appearance of Yuan Xiaotian, master of Peking opera. He was previously a martial arts mentor to Law, making her equally skilled in both the Southern (Cantonese opera) and Northern (Peking opera) martial arts.
