Chun (Cheung Ching) is an unsuccessful artist. His wife Heung (Suet Nei) therefore gets a job to support the family, leaving Chun with the responsibility to take care of their newborn son. Chun's cousin Siu-ha (Lydia Sum) helps him with his baby but in return, she asks him to pretend to be her husband so that she can secure a family inheritance. This leads to Heung's suspicion about Chun's fidelity to her. Master Cute (Ko Lo Chuen) and Tai Fan Shu (Ngai Tung Kwa) attempt to defuse this situation but achieve the opposite. Lydia Sum's cheerful, endearing role here is a sharp contrast to the difficult characters later in her career.
