With the negative of The White Gold Dragon destroyed in a blaze at Runje Shaw's film studio in 1935, Shaw teamed up again with opera maestros Tong Suet-hing and Sit Kok-sin in the sequel two years later. Dashing and debonair as ever, Sit showcased his artistry in this film as the rich Pak Kam-lung who accompanies his fiancée Cheung Yuk-neong (Tong) to Singapore to manage the rubber plantation of his future father-in-law. A competitor tries to poach Pak by sending socialite Ng Ma-li (Lam Mui-mui) to seduce Pak. Luckily, Cheung's cousin Yuk-sim (Wong man-lei) thwarts the scheme and reunites Pak and Cheung.
