Based on a Cantonese opera produced by the Sun Yim Yeung Opera Troupe in 1955,  Spring's Joyous Blessings  centres a love triangle between general Ching Ying-yeung (Ho Fei-fan), princess Kam Ma (Fong Yim-fun), and her sister Lee Nganping, (also played by Fong). ‘Queen of huadan' (female lead) Fong portrays dual roles as twin sisters with completely different personalities; she switches perfectly between acting that is physical and dramatic, disguises masculine and feminine. The film is replete with memorable scenes, such as the amusing ‘Fong Yim-fun vs Fong Yim-fun' encounter, as well as sequences which showcase Fong's stunning versatility. Besides, the film features many opportunities for Fong and Ho to sing together in their signature ‘Fong styles' and ‘Ho Style', creating an exciting musical ‘clash of titans' that is unmissable for their fans.
