Director Fung Fung used multiple high-angle cameras to film the battle scene between the armies of prince regent and commander Sze (Yam Kim-fai). By doing so, the film breaks through the space limited by stage and emerges the epic military formation, showing the tension and momentum of the war. In the scenes centring the two wushengs, Fung adopted wide shot to incorporate the soldiers at the background into the frame, creating a sizzling atmosphere of hostility. Besides constructing a realistic fire attack scene by filming miniature models up close, a pair of lifelike eyeballs props was made for the scene where Leung Sing-por scoops out Yam's eyes. Be sure to watch out for this meticulously made scene a collaboration between props, film editing, and make up which fully shows the magic of film.
