Mak Bing-wing and Fung Wong Nui usually play the feisty odd couple that go at each other's throats—until they fall in love. Adapted from a play by the Cantonese opera troupe that featured Mak and Fung as headliners, the film stars Fung as the daughter of a general from the Chu Kingdom and Mak as a general from the Qi Kingdom. When their romance is thwarted by a misunderstanding, the feud snowballs into a full-blown war between the two nations. Filled with unexpected twists and thrilling action, this is the spectacle that Mak and Fung delivered for their troupe in spades.
