Longtime stage and screen partners Yam Kim-fai and Pat Suet-sin bring Ma Si-tsang's Cantonese opera production to the screen. Pak plays the titular unruly princess who demands her husband-to-be (Yam, in her usual male lead role) to undergo a series of rituals for their wedding. However, the groom, an arrogant general who can't swallow his pride, isn't about to take the bride's demands lying down. This playful romantic comedy may lack the poignancy of Princess Cheung Ping, the tragic romance that Pak and Yam are best known for, but the Cantonese opera icons compensate with great screen rapport.
