A remake of the 1948 romantic comedy, Orioles Banished from the Flowers (1948), starring Zhou Xuan and Yim Fa, Wong Tin-lam's delightful musical stars Chung Ching as a young girl who loves to sing. She strikes up a feud with her school's new teacher (Chin Feng), but in true romantic odd couple fashion, the two eventually fall in love. Chung may not be the graceful vocalist that Zhou was in her time, but the on-screen chemistry that she shares with Chin far surpasses the couple in the original film.
