In this Hong Kong mo lei tau-style (nonsensical) take on Sixty Million Dollar Man, Stephen Chow stars as Sing, a spoiled rich kid whose reckless ways get him into trouble with gangsters. When Sing is gravely injured in an explosion, a scientist turns him into a cyborg to save his life. However, Sing's new low-cost functions—such as turning into a rice cooker and other household appliances—can hardly be called useful. Ng Man-tat is surprisingly affecting as a house servant who turns out to be Sing's biological father. The duo's relationship becomes the emotional anchor in this silly and highly imaginative take on the sci-fi genre.
