Cantonese opera star Sun Ma Si-tsang and radio star Tang Kei-chen team up as two singing and dancing fools in this zany comedy. It's summertime, and our two heroes will do anything to make a few dollars for their tuition. After comical misunderstandings and various follies, the duo manages to find a rich sponsor for their schooling and help a former rival (Cheng Kwan-min) with his studies. The film not only reflects the ‘anything for a buck' mentality of Hongkongers in the 1950s; it also shows their willingness to put in the hard work and help each other out.
The DCP used for the screening is scanned from a 16mm sole copy; the image and sound quality is short of ideal. We appreciate your understanding.
