For Uncle Bill (Bill Tung) and his family, winning Mark Six is the most wanted dream ever, as they find themselves packed like sardines on rush-hour subway and living cheek by jowl in a subsidised apartment. This fun-filled comedy, which flourished into a four-part series, struck a chord with moviegoers when first released in the 1980s. It might go down even better in this much madder world today, where a shoebox-sized flat would easily cost more than one's entire life savings.
