Can money buy love? Silly Wong (Leung Sing-po) has made a fortune overseas. His sharp-tongued godson Tsim Tsui-mau (Tang Kei-chen) and old colleagues go all out to curry favour with the returnee, but when a delayed remittance puts Wong in a tight spot, everybody can't wait to slam the door on him. Contrary to the money-grubbers, Wong's girlfriend Lin Yung-so (Law Yim-hing) offers shelter to the broke man, who eventually decides to give up wealth for love. Much to savour at a time when we are all making New Year's resolutions!
