So after much ado, lovers finally become husband and wife, only to find more hurdles ahead. Junior teacher Mung (Cheung Ying) and his sweetheart Sha (Pak Yin) are ready to walk down the aisle, but Sha's rich cousin (Yip Ping, wife of director/actor Ng Wui) demands an income statement from Mung to make sure the bride will be living worry-free. The desperate young man multiplies his salary by three on the statement, while moonlighting as a clown to make ends meet. Sha too soon finds herself looking for a job and running into a conman… All the naked truths beneath a happy marriage are laid bare, but in the end it is the hard times that make us savour all the more the sweet little moments.
