1985 was the year that Leslie Cheung truly became a pop sensation. His follow-up album to Leslie was another major hit, and his summer concert set a new record for the most number of shows held by a single performer at the Hong Kong Coliseum. A month later, the Leslie mania continued with this fluffy youth romance, featuring Cheung as a discotheque DJ whose womanising ways change when he meets Jane (Loletta Lee). Designed to cash in on Cheung's popularity, the film includes a soundtrack entirely made up of Cheung's pop hits. The titular ballad was such a fan favourite that Cheung even named his café after it.
