Director Peter Chan proves that happily ever after isn't guaranteed in love with this hilarious sequel to blockbuster He's a Woman, She's a Man. Set immediately after its predecessor, the sequel sees music producer Sam (Leslie Cheung) realising that falling in love with Wing (Anita Yuen) is completely different from being in a relationship with her. Things turn for the worse when their relationship is threatened by a new romantic rival, a superstar known for her androgynous stage persona that's played by none other than Anita Mui. Boosted by the predecessor's success, Chan confidently pushes the envelope with an even more provocative approach towards sexual orientation and gender politics.
