After Why, Why, Tell Me Why! , Anita Mui reunited with her co-star Anthony Chan for another romantic comedy—Chan's first directorial effort under his new production banner co-founded with Alfred Cheung. This time, Mui is caught in a romantic triangle when the ex-wife (Pat Ha) of her live-in boyfriend (Chan) moves into their home. A domestic farce in the vein of Cheung's Let's Make Laugh (1983, also co-written by Chan), the film saw Mui restraining her flamboyant comedic style to play a homely girl whose witty one-liners steal the show all the same.
