Betty Loh Ti, her brother Kelly Lai Chen and director Yuan Qiufeng co-founded Golden Eagle Film Company and produced The Wandering Swordsman and Duel at the Supreme Gate, Loh's last works. Characters created by Yi Fan are as diverse and fascinating to audiences as they are challenging to the actors. Still, Loh more than held her own as the embodiment of Murong Xue – a forthright swordswoman who mistakes Fan Kunyang (Kelly Lai Chen) for abandoning her sister and teams up with Situ Gang (Sek Kin), head of the Skeleton Gang, to hunt him down. Upon realising her folly of misplacing trust in the very plotter of her family woes, she raids the Skeleton Gang where a deadly trap awaits her… Although not the main propeller of the plot, Loh stood out with her stellar portrayal of a heroine with a rigid sense of justice and indomitable spirit.
