Betty Loh Ti joined MP & GI/ Cathy when her contract with Shaw Brothers expired. Her dual role in this offbeat urban comedy made a refreshing change from her customary period personas. Married to a bona fide chauvinist (Chang Yang) who believes that a wife's place is in the home, the career-minded Wang Ruijuan (Betty Loh Ti) secretly applies for a job and becomes her husband's junior colleague through an ingenious disguise – a wig, a big mole and business suits. She rises up the ranks and becomes her husband's boss, only to find he has fallen for her assumed persona… Loh perfectly embodied the mix of an attentive housewife and a capable career woman, alternating between different manners of speech and demeanours as she slipped in and out of her two characters and wowed with her dozen of trendy outfits. Winner of best feature film (runner-up) at the Golden Horse Awards in 1968.
