Jewellery store owner Sau-lim (Tang Kei-chen) is famous for his frugal nature, making his sons and daughters-in-law work in his store so that he won' t have to hire any employee. Sau-lim's two eldest sons (Cheng Kwan-min and Yu Ming) are too dumb to run the store properly, while their wives (Tam Lan-hing and Lee Hong-kum) are always plotting against each other over allowances and inheritance. Leave it to the family's youngest (Woo Fung) and his wife (Ho Lan) to patch up conflicts and bring the family back together again. Tam Lan-hing and Lee Hong-kum make surprisingly great screen partners as the battling daughters-in-law, winning audiences with their over-the-top expressions and comedic chemistry. The film also finds plenty of comedy in the two married couples' devious schemes, which always unfold in comically unpredictable ways.
