In this hilarious adaptation of classic Beijing opera Hua Tian Cuo , Mui Yee stars as Yuk-yin, a rich girl who falls for Chung (Sun Ma Si-tsang), a down-and-out scholar who sells paintings on the street. However, Yuk-yin's servants mistake local bully Tung (Lau Hark-suen) for Chung, and Tung won't leave until he takes Yuk-yin as his wife. To make matters even more complicated, Yuk-yin's brother (Lam Kar-sing) has fallen in love with Tung's sister (Cheng Bik-ying), against Tung's objections. Before the film arrives at the expected happy ending, expect plenty of mistaken identities, cross-dressing, bride-napping, brilliant comedic performances and a lot of great music.
