Wan Fong-ling shows off her talent as an actress and a singer in this heartrending romantic drama, singing Cantonese opera on screen for the first time. After a whirlwind romance with photojournalist Wo (Woo Fung), Cantonese opera performer Hong (Wan) decides to get married and leave the performing world behind. However, a spurned admirer hires thugs to beat Wo, leaving him seriously injured. Hong is forced to return to the stage to pay for his medical treatment, and Wo's pride is further hurt when he's unable to find work after his recovery. Six years after leaving their home, Wo returns home with a successful career. But will he be able to find forgiveness from his wife?
