The first film with all key leads helmed by radio actors, Lee Tit's romance drama also marks the joint screen appearance of four immensely popular radio personalities – Li Ngaw, Tang Kei-chen, Chung Wai-ming and Wan Fong-ling (making her film debut). Yip (Li Ngaw) and Ngan (Chan Bei-lei) are in love, but Yip is forced by his family to marry Heung (Wan Fong-ling). Heung is also hiding a true love of her own in Shing (Chung Wai-ming), but she's forced to agree to the marriage so that she can pay for Shing's overseas education. Yip and Heung eventually agree to become husband and wife only on paper while they continue to be with their respective lovers. However, chaos breaks out when Shing returns from overseas and sees that the love of his life is now married. Li was already stepping into middle age when he acted in this film, but he still exuded the smooth, charming charisma that made him a fan favorite.
