A lifetime of sibling rivalry leads to a heartbreaking story of a broken family in this adaptation of Li Ngaw's "Airwave Novel". When his wife dies, Gong (Lo Duen) is left to take care of his son Cheng on his own. Later, he remarries Ching (Mui Yee), who gives birth to Chiu. However, Cheng would suffer a lifetime of abuse at the hands of Ching and his pampered half-brother. When the adult Cheng (Cheung Wood-yau) falls for laundry girl Sheung-man (Pak Yin), Chiu (Li Ngaw) comes up with a sinister plan to steal Cheng's love. Even when Cheng and Sheung-man decide to elope, Chiu is far from finished with starting trouble. Working double duty as the narrator and the recklessly arrogant younger son, Li Ngaw leaves a memorable impression with this villainous performance.
