This murder mystery opens with an intriguing premise: a woman (Lee Hong-kum) is found dead, and three different women (Yu Lai-zhen, Patricia Lam Fung and Yu So-chow) admit to the murder. Through the three women's stories, the audience learn how the victim was in fact a vixen who caused the death of their husbands. Because of her strong accent, Yu's Cantonese performances were usually dubbed by Lai Kwan-lin. However, since Yu plays a martial arts performer from the mainland in this film, this marks a rare occasion that Yu's real voice can be heard on screen speaking Cantonese. The result is a one-of-a-kind Yu So-chow performance that fans have never "heard" before.
