In a bold cross-dressing role, Yu So-chow tackles Lui Bo from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms saga in this period epic. All the character's best-known moments are here, including the Battle of Hulao Pass, the arrow through the halberd, the meeting with Diu Sim at the Phoenix Pavilion and of course, his final stand at White Gate Tower. In the film's most spectacular action set piece, Yu gets the chance to fight her father Yu Zhanyuan – who plays Kwan Yu – during the Battle of Hulao Pass. Intense, visceral and dramatic at once, the father-daughter showdown is definitely one of the greatest fight scenes in Yu's distinguished film career.
