In his first colour film, To Ping plays Lo Hiu-fung, the son of a rich man who is in love with teacher Tung Mei (Patricia Lam Fung). However, his father (Ng Cho-fan) mistakenly thinks that he is in love with a dancehall girl (also played by Patricia Lam Fung) and tries to tear them apart. Later, Hiu-fung's father discovers that the two girls are actually twin daughters of his godbrother (Cheung Ying). Promoted to the lead role pairing with Patricia Lam Fung, one of the most popular female stars then, To Ping plays a modest young man whose loving devotion to Tung Mei makes this one of the actor's most likeable roles yet.
