Cinema City's best behind-the-scenes talents – Karl Maka, Tsui Hark, Raymond Wong, Eric Tsang and Szeto Cheukhon – team up for this wildly entertaining film noir spoof, about a private detective (George Lam) who is dragged into an odd murder case involving a billionaire tycoon. Also featuring Maka as a crime lord named Capone seeking revenge for being put in jail, Wong and Szeto's script takes more twists and turns than a wooden roller coaster, sending the audience on a manic, fast-paced ride that only Tsui Hark can deliver. In a torchpassing rite of sorts, veteran stars Tso Tat-wah, Lee Pang-fei, Fung King-man, Ng Yan-chi show up for a special cameo as the "Four Godfathers," briefly stealing the spotlight from their young co-stars.
