After assassinating a high official to avenge his father's death, Li Yue (Jimmy Wang Yu) is wanted for murder and lives in anonymity. With no news of him, his fiancé Liu Zhen-er (Chin Ping) requests the swordsman Fang Junzhao (Chiao Chuang) to look for him. Meanwhile, the female bandit Shi Xiaomei (Chiao Chiao) has also fallen for Li Yue living in hiding in an inn.
