A young painter Lai (Lui Kay) meets with stage actress Anne (Connie Chan Pochu) and it's love at the first sight. As he gets to know Anne better, he realizes that she is not the average girl next door, but the victim of a brutal murder decades ago. After disappearing for a while, she returns one day and the two of them begins to live under one roof, and though he knows the love story would not last, he continues to indulge in the affair. The unrequited love between the living and deceased has been a perennial favourite of filmmakers past and present, east and west, but rarely portrayed with such romantic and youthful colours.
