Tragedy strikes when a group of teenagers kidnaps his two children as punishment. A man fails to escape the sins of his father in The Runaway, the story of a building inspector who is blackmailed into taking bribes and hide records of shoddy construction by a contractor his father worked with. In the end, the building inspector becomes a runaway groom when ICAC officers attempt to arrest him at his wedding.
