This programme features two morality tales involving car accident scams. Told from the perspective of a reporter, first episode The Third Person follows a third-party insurance scam concocted by a heartless lawyer and an accomplice pretending to be the victim of a car accident. However, when the accomplice receives only HK$5,000 in settlement instead of the HK$100,000 he was promised, his entire world crumbles. A more eccentric story than what one may expect from Below the Lion Rock, The Barber (based on a novella by Kyotaro Nishimura) follows the story of To Ming-sang, a barber who is blackmailed by a mysterious man after escaping from a car accident he had witnessed. When To hires a private detective to investigate the identity of his blackmailer, he discovers a shocking truth behind the man's motivation.
