The sequel begins with Lee Sun-fung’s Conjugal Love, in which Ng Cho-fan and Siu Yin Fei portray a loving couple. The reappearance of the husband’s former lover leads to a series of misunderstandings, highlighting the importance of trust in marriage. Romantic Love tells the tale of a young woman who is forced to marry the son of a wealthy family but is ultimately reunited with the object of her affection after many twists and turns. Building on the foundations of the conventional love story, Lee Tit conjures an eerie atmosphere by having Tsi Lo Lin’s character being mistaken for a ghost, adding an element of entertainment. Filial Love is an adaptation of Put Down Your Whip, an influential street play during the Second Sino-Japanese War. It sees Ma Si-tsang take on the role of a father who earns a living by performing on the streets with his children. After severely beating his daughter for making a mistake, he recounts his hardships as the crowd badgers him with questions. Chun Kim had already expressed his concern for the adversities faced by ageing performers depicted in this vignette as early as Parents’ Hearts (1955). Universal Love, which bridges the two instalments of Love, was helmed by Ng Wui and features on-screen performances by Union Film’s entire roster of actors and directors. The ship encounters one peril after another, with the captain sacrificing himself to save everyone in the end, exemplifying the humanitarian spirit of selflessness.

There will be an intermission of about 10 minutes between Love Part I and The Sequel.
