The Sisters Musical Theatre Troupe, formed by Ching (Nancy Sit) and her six sisters, makes an open casting call for their next male lead. Fung-mui (Ming Sin), an aspiring actress from Macau, disguises herself as a man to audition in a bid to break into show business. She gets the part and moves into the troupe’s dormitory. Catalysed by the accommodation arrangement, many of the seven sisters fall for Fung-mui. A battle for ‘his’ affections ensues, testing their bond of sisterhood for the first time. Luckily, director Chan Ching-wan (Woo Fung) already knows the score and intervenes to resolve the conflict.

Sit’s co-stars this time are not her fellow princesses, but six other actresses. She once again showcases her singing and dancing talent in this film and even takes the initiative in scheming how to woo her crush, dropping in on ‘him’ in the dead of night. Unfortunately, the man of her dreams turns out to be a woman, shattering her and her sisters’ fantasies.
