Inferring from the title, one may think this is a story about seven beautiful princesses. However, the ‘Seven Princesses’ are in fact divine treasures—said to grant their owner the power to rule over the realm, they are highly coveted by villainous sects throughout the land. As the election for the next leader of the martial arts community looms, the Seven Princesses being safeguarded by the elderly incumbent are stolen. Meanwhile, Kunlun Sect disciple Lok Chen-yu (Connie Chan in a cross-cast role), the hot favourite to win the election, is falsely accused of rape and murder. To clear his name, Lok heads to Jiangnan with his junior Tsui Wai-leung (Fung Bo-bo in a cross-cast role) to conduct a thorough investigation, chancing upon several like-minded heroes along the way. Lok and company infiltrate the Centipede Clan after one of his master’s peers is killed. The swordswoman Luk Sau-king (Josephine Siao) is unwittingly captured and discovers that her adoptive father is the Centipede Clan’s second-in-command. The clan is also the culprit behind the theft of the Seven Princesses…
