Nearly two decades after Wheels on Meals (1984), Jackie Chan returns with Rob-B-Hood, another action-packed comedy. While the film, directed by Benny Chan, still features three men and one vehicle racing through the city, the exotic streets of Barcelona are replaced by Hong Kong’s distinctive landscape, returning to our unique backdrop for the high-octane action.

Jackie Chan is joined by comedy legend Michael Hui and leading man Louis Koo as a trio of small-time burglars, each grappling with money troubles. Although they pride themselves on their moral code, financial desperation pushes them to accept a shady job: kidnapping a newborn baby. Caring for the infant proves far more challenging than stealing valuables or engaging in vigorous fights. With the police, loan sharks and a ruthless triad leader hot on their trail, they must navigate high-speed car chases and daring escapes, all the while trying to keep their tiny charge safe and content with chaotic attempts at parenting.

Jackie Chan delivers his signature blend of jaw-dropping stunts and amusing fight sequences, complemented by thrilling car chases. The film’s charm lies not only in its action but also in the touching bond that develops between the trio and their adorable hostage, who steals the spotlight from the stars and other star-studded celebrity cameos.
